概况

Mauritius is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, it is found around 2000kms off the southeast coast of the African continent mainland and 900kms from Madagascar. Most of the island is flat, but it is edged by three mountain ranges Piton de la Riviere Noire, Pieter Both and Le Pouce. The highest point of the island is about 828m. The island is also known as the "Star of the Indian Ocean". Mark Twain wrote that "Mauritius inspired God to create the Garden of Eden".

The capital and largest city of Mauritius is Port Louis.

 The official languages of Mauritius are English and French.

毛里求斯在印度洋的岛国，它离非洲大陆东南岸大约2000公里，离马达加斯加大约900公里，毛里求斯又称“印度洋之星”。毛里求斯的最高地点是大约828米高，因为实在是太漂亮了，l马克吐温曾经写过”毛里求斯给了上帝创造伊甸花园的灵感”。

毛里求斯的首都是路易港。

毛里求斯的官方语言有英语和法语。

SSR Garden -- This is a botanical garden which bears many names including "Jardin de Mon Plaisir", "Jardin des Plantes", "Jardin de Pamplemousses" and "Jardin Botanique Royal". It's full name "Sir Seewoosaqur Ramqoolam Botanical Garden" was given in honor of the man who led the country to independence and was once the Prime Minister of Mauritius.
